Bring your family and friends and an enjoy a great evening full of fun. The event includes late night shopping, live music at Gold City Centre Stage, delicious street food vendors, vintage cars on show thanks to the Gympie Heritage Car Club & Cooloola Classic Car Club, street performers, and buskers. Cafés, bars and restaurants will all be open. Get the kids involved in the Zinc 96 Easter egg hunt; you might even see the Easter bunny wandering around!
Gympie Chamber of Commerce President, Tony Goodman, says the annual event is a great way of supporting local businesses while enjoying a night surrounded by community spirit.
“These events help create a sense of community that can be nurtured as time goes on, to create a village-like atmosphere. In addition to supporting local businesses, Easter on Mary invites people to participate socially and culturally. It brings us together.
“Grab a bite to eat at Gympie’s biggest street party and enjoy the sounds of local musicians as you stroll along the Mary Street tree-lined boulevard” he said.
The festivities start from 5pm, with road closures in place from 4pm.
