The Coolabay Choir performing at the Flower Show

Every Wednesday an enthusiastic group of people, who enjoy singing together, meet at the Vets’ and Community Hall in Cooloola Cove. We warm up our voices and share a few relaxing movements before starting to sing.

At the moment we are rehearsing three songs: ‘The Rose,’  ‘Gently Flows the Avon’ and a 15th Century madrigal ‘Now is the month of Maying’!

Our previously learnt songs are also brought out for an airing, which keeps them fresh in our minds.

Even though there are no upcoming concerts to spur us on, we look forward to invitations to sing in harmony.

There are some very talented musicians in our group and can provide emails with individual harmonies you can play at home and learn at your own pace. Music is provided and only $2 to spend each Wednesday, which pays for the hire of the hall.

We welcome new members all the time and our conductor seems very pleased with our sometimes beautiful tone. That’s what she says…anyway!

If you love to sing please come and join our merry band.

See you there!
