$3,600 to restore Tin Can Bay war memorial

Federal Member for Wide Bay and Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss, announced that the Tin Can Bay RSL sub branch will receive a $3,600 grant, under the Federal Government’s Saluting Their Service Commemorations programme.

“This grant will enable much needed restoration work to be carried out on the Tin Can Bay war memorial in Anzac Memorial Park.

“The work will include refurbishment of the memorial’s plaques and the nearby aircraft gun installation, maintenance of the concrete edging around the memorial, as well as the application of a non-slip coating to improve the safety of the site for older residents,” Mr Truss said.
