Newly knitted Trauma Teddies waiting to go to hospital

Happy New Year, although 2022 is not off to a good start with the new Covid outbreaks.

Our members were on holiday from CWA during January and have been busy knitting Trauma Teddies due to demand. Thank you for our last donations of wool – all now knitted, always appreciated.

We are looking forward to 2022 as it is our 100 year anniversary of our organisation.

Our International Weekend in February at Roma to celebrate our country of study “Australia”and product “Pineapples“ has been cancelled due to Covid restrictions.

We are currently assembling Kits for Kids (school items) and Birthing Kits (basic needs for baby’s delivery) to be distributed to villages in Papua New Guinea.

Remember the Photography Competition! Keep snapping your photos, it is closing in March.

As you can appreciate in February our craft and hoy events may be cancelled due to restrictions, our commitment is to keep our members and community safe.

Stay healthy, safe and positive and wear your masks.

Craft:    Wednesday 2 and Wednesday 9 February, QCWA Hall 18 Whiting Street

Hoy:    Sunday 16 February, Cooloola Bowls Club
