Learn to sail

In the first week of the holiday, September 18 – 21, enrol in a ’learn to sail’ course.

After this event kids will be encouraged to keep up the skills learned through the summer sailing season in The Green Fleet, on a Saturday morning (cost included with below).

Cost will be $200 for four days, including TCBYC membership, insurance, ‘how to sail’ book, and tuition fee. For more info, call Jon Jones Sail Training Co-ordinator: 0408 472 187

Under 5s have a free week to swim!

Rainbow Beach Aquatic Centre has a free ‘learn to swim’ week with the aim to give every child under five the chance to learn to swim, and advocate the importance of water safety, September 25-29.

Sensational September activities

The Cooloola Coast Youth Activity Program (CCYAP) have five fantastic activities, call 0411 218 254 to find out more.

Unreal ukulele – Tuesday September 19 at the Cooloola Cove Veterans and Community Hall from 9am-10.30am. Limited places, bookings essential. All instruments supplied.

Outdoor muck around – Thursday September 21 at Billabong Park Cooloola Cove from 9am-11am. Have a morning of joyful games and challenges that will get your thinking cap on!

Awesome archery – Thursday  September 28 at the Tin Can Bay McCrae Range from 9am-12pm. Limited places, bookings essential. All equipment supplied. Permission forms must be signed before participating.

Fantastic flower fun – Friday September 29 at the Cooloola Cove Veterans and Community Hall from 9am -10.30am. Create an entry into the Cooloola Coast Ambulance Flower Show. All material supplied.

Be an amazing athlete – Saturday September 30 at the Tin Can Bay School oval from 9am-10.30am. A casual approach to athletics with games and trials.

Be part of the robotics revolution and learn all about robotics and coding with Lego Mindstorm, Wednesday, September 20. Spaces are limited. Bookings are essential.?

A note from the Cooloola Coast Local Ambulance Committee

If you are going camping during the school holidays, please remember to be aware of the dangers for young children around campfires. A fire should be put out with a bucket of water not sand or dirt. If burns occur, they should be treated with cold running water and medical assistance sought immediately.
