A bus load of lady golfers headed off to Beerwah on Black Friday last month to contest the District President’s Cup in a 4B Ambrose. The ladies all got into the spirit of the day, dressing in costume and our Tin Can Bay ladies brought home the prize for “Best Dressed”. No Cup, sadly.
Course renovations and lots of rain means that the Tin Can Bay Golf Course is in great condition and the Club is looking forward to hosting new members and visitors over the coming holiday months. Just ring the Starters Box on 0484 05 266 to organise a game and stay for a meal in our restaurant where our new chef is providing Chinese and Australian lunches and dinners.
Last month the Vets held their 4BBB Stroke Championships. Congratulations to the Gross winners, Rob Grambower and Mick Low and Nett winners, Nev Anderson and Brian Steel.
October Monthly Medal winners were:
Men’s Division 1 – Mark Hehir 69 nett, Division 2 – Randall Thies 65 nett, Division 3 – Peter Scott 66 nett.
Ladies Division 1 – Di Neill 69 nett, Division 2 – Jenny Skuja 74 nett.
