It’s been a busy month for the Tin Can Bay Camera Club. On Saturday July 5, 22 members and Hervey Bay Photography Club got together for an Interclub Safari at Crab Creek. TCB photographers produced some very good images, but Hervey Bay took home the “spoils”, but and a great day was had by all!

On July 12, an enthusiastic group braved a cold evening to participate in a Night Photography Workshop and captured some fantastic images. Topics included moon photography, hand-held photography in low light using high ISOs and night photography using tripods and long exposures. This is a very popular workshop and will be run again later in the year.

The next workshop will be held on Saturday, August 23at the Tin Can Bay Library from 1 to 4pm. The topic is “Know Your Camera” and is for people who wish to know more about the basic functions of their digital cameras. Visit the club website for more information.

Brad Marcellos from ABC Open was the guest judge at the Camera Club’s July meeting. Prior to the meeting, Brad held a Light Painting workshop on the foreshore, which produced some great shots and a lot of fun was had by those who participated.
